Q: How does SLS compare to SLES?

A: Sodium lauryl sulfate [SLS] is sourced from petroleum or vegetable-based feedstock and serves as the parent chemical for sodium lauryl ether sulfate [SLES]. SLES is a milder, chemically modified version compared to its predecessor, SLS. Both are still considered to be aggressive forms of detergents.

Q: What are PEGs?
A: PEGs [polyethyleneglycol] are a synthetically modified class of ingredients with a wide array of functions that are commonly found in personal care, baby care and pet care products. They are typically used to attenuate the harshness and irritation potential of detergents, aid in the delivery and incorporation of oils into water-based products and to improve the overall performance and aesthetics of finished products.
Q: What is 1,4-Dioxane?

A: It’s a carcinogenic byproduct that results in very low levels from the chemical manufacturing process of SLES. Additionally, 1,4-Dioxane may arise as a byproduct from the chemical manufacturing process of PEG containing ingredients.

Q: Can essential oils be considered safe for cats?
A: Yes because essential oils are typically diluted down in finished products to a safe and effective level. The sourcing of these oils is critical. Our essential oils are of pure and premium grade quality and are sourced ethically.

Q: Can this product be used on all types of dog coats?

A: Yes. This product can be used to cleanse and condition
all types of dog coats and is specially formulated for dogs with sensitive skin. 

Q: Where are the detergents sourced from?

A: The detergents used to make this product are naturally
derived from sustainable coconut oil, and readily renewable corn and palm
kernel oil. These detergents are ultra-mild.

Q: Do the detergents contain sulfates?

A: No. The detergents in this product are completely sulfate-free.

Q: Does this product contain PEGs and/or 1,4-Dioxane?

A: No. We are committed to keeping all our finished products
free of these chemicals.

Q: Where are the conditioning ingredients sourced from?

A: The conditioning ingredients used to make this product
are plant and vegetable derived from natural cellulose and guar bean. This blend
of conditioning ingredients provides superior conditioning with added shine to
your dog’s coat.

Q: Is this product gluten-free?

A: Yes. We use finely ground oat flour from premium
gluten-free oats.

Q: Is this product tear-free?

A: Our product is ultra mild, with naturally derived cleansing agents to impart gentle cleansing. We have had customers speak to us about our product being tear-free when bathing their K-9s. That being said, it's always recommended to take care around the eyes with even the most mildest bathing product to avoid getting soap into the eyes.
